Most carpet manufacturers recommend a professional deep clean every 12–18 months. Homes with pets, kids or allergy sufferers should clean every 6–9 months.
Vacuuming removes surface debris but cannot lift the oils, dust mites and allergens trapped deep in the fibres, only a professional deep clean with industrial equipment does that.
